Professionals are reacting positively to the booming Ivorian economy and evolving profile. Over the past four years, for example, the construction sector has posted a growth rate of 33.5%. Ivorian visitors are therefore thirsty for knowledge and open to innovation so they can stand out in today’s highly competitive market. French-speaking and sometimes bilingual in English, they enjoy a simple, direct and courteous approach. Their joie de vivre, humour and open-mindedness make them a pleasure to deal with. They are good listeners and extremely interested in the world at large. They find the exhibitor directory very useful for contacting businesses they were unable to meet at the show. They often have family or friends in France whom they enjoy visiting during their trip.

A new office

Promosalons has decided to open a new office in Ivory Coast, this country in Sub-Saharan Africa with such huge potential. It was previously served from the Ghana office.
Since September 2017, Promosalons has been represented by the France-Côte d’Ivoire Chamber of Commerce and Industry (French acronym: CCIFCI). It offers member exhibitions an active local contact with connections to influential professional networks. CCIFCI is the leading foreign business organisation in Ivory Coast with 1,000 member companies. Its role is to foster relations between France and Ivory Coast and promote interactions between economic operators. Promosalons office manager, Jean-Louis Giacometti, was seconded by the Paris-Ile de France Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry to serve as technical advisor to the chairman of CCIFCI. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2010.
Thomas Dallo joined him in 2014 and is in charge of projects at CCIFCI. He runs the office’s initiatives and liaises with organisers.
