After participating in a collective promotional tour of the Nordic countries in 2014, Batimat has continued with local qualitative initiatives which have helped raise its profile in these high-potential markets.
In the second half of 2014, Batimat was part of a collective promotional tour to the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden) organised by Promosalons and Paris Region Enterprises and focusing on the theme of development and the sustainable city. It was an opportunity for Batimat to initiate or develop fruitful contacts with the trade press, trade associations and influential sector stakeholders. The Batimat teams decided to return to Denmark and Norway six months later to do some additional promotional work and boost the show’s profile in those markets.
Press and PR campaigns were arranged by the local Promosalons offices. Almost 100 professionals from the world of building and architecture, the trade press and institutional organisations attended breakfast meetings and show presentations, one of which was held at the French embassy in Denmark and attended by the ambassador.
These promotional initiatives had a huge positive impact. Among other things, they gave Liselotte Christensen, Promosalons representative in Denmark, the opportunity to establish partnerships with four of the sector’s key trade associations and gain access to almost 8,000 industry professionals. Likewise, Norway representative Joséphine Sconza was able to put together three tour groups (150 people in total) for the next session of Batimat. Not only that, but one of the leaders in the Norwegian building industry who met the delegation during its tour will participate in the show’s talks programme.
It is clear that for our representatives, the involvement and presence of show teams at local events have been a huge advantage for promoting this session, which is part of a plan to maintain a high profile and long-term development strategy.
Testimonial from Catherine Rousselot Donnadille, Director of Marketing & Communications, Building Division, Reed Expositions France:
«We really appreciated the quality of the dialogue and profile of participants at these promotional events. Talking face to face with representatives from government agencies, the press and our industry’s trade associations only enhanced the positive impact of our presence at these events.
We are delighted to be welcoming visitors from the Nordic countries as well as three Norwegian delegations to the next Mondial du Bâtiment, the world’s biggest international building event that brings together 2,600 manufacturers from all sectors of the building industry and from all around the world.
We have designed special trails for them and meetings with exhibitors. The show will offer solutions to their current and future challenges, including the energy transition, the digital revolution, connected buildings and cities, and people and buildings. We will also be offering an off-site programme to complement their show visit and allow them to see technological innovations in situ.»
